Subject: Persistence of addressing

In light of the previous exchange about the volatility of email
addresses, it might be of interest that at least one society has now
instituted a permanent address service: the Association for Computing
Machinery will provide a forwarding service to its members for $10
p.a. (and dialup mail and news accounts with 800 number access for
somewhat more).

As I commented before, perhaps someone - lsa? - could be persuaded to
do the same for the linguistics community...?

So, I expect, you can reach me as <> for the next
decade or more....
