A couple of years ago, a reform of French orthography was proposed. There was some resistance. Does anyone know the status of that reform? 1. Was it adopted? 2. If so, are the old spellings allowed as alternates? 3. Are the reforms detailed in some kind of authoritative document? Thanks in advance. I'll summarize responses.
