Is there anyone familiar with the literature on the L1 acquisition of German
who knows anything about the early journal by Ernst and Gertrud Scupin on the
linguistic development of their son 'Bubi'? Has anything been written on it
or its exegesis? Have the data in it been organized in any way?

I haven't taught the History of English Language for several years, but

suddenly I find I must teach it this coming January. I'm out of touch

with the latest texts that may have been published of late. If anyone has
