I am a student working for my master degree on machine translation (Russian -> Portuguese), and sometime ago it was sent to me (by a friend of a friend of...) some pages in which was written "Analyse Morpho du Russe - Jean-Paul Horn Pari s - 1988). I've already written to INALCO (Paris) and received no answer. Could anyone send me information on how a copy of the paper (book?) could be ob tained or how the author could be contacted. Any information would be apprecia ted. ------------------------------------- Marcelo A. T. The following message was sent to me today; I forward it to the Linguist list in the hope that someone out there may know more than I do about this. Please send your suggestions directly to Prof. Gerck at the net address indicated. Of particular interest are DOS versions that are cost-free. Thank you for your kind attention. Prof. Dr. rer. nat. Edgardo Gerck {reply to gerck

I did a double-take when I saw the acronym for the British Association of Applied Linguistics. Does anyone know of other acronyms with a second "meaning" distinct from the name they represent? - Laura Labonte-Smith lauraMail to author|Respond to list|Read more issues|LINGUIST home page|Top of issueincontext.ca
