We'd like to extend very hearty thanks to the individuals and companies listed below. Because of their generosity, we've now collected over $800 in the LINGUIST Development Fund. As we told you before Christmas, this is a non-profit, tax- deductable fund designed to offer a fellowship at Eastern Michigan U. or Texas A&M U. to a graduate student who will work 10 hours a week on LINGUIST. If this fund-raising effort is successful, it will provide the editorial help we need to make sure LINGUIST continues. And it will also offer a deserving student monetary support and valuable computational and editorial experience. So we certainly appreciate the subscriber support we've received. If anyone else would like to contribute, please make your checks out to "The EMU LINGUIST Development Fund" and send them to: The LINGUIST Development Fund c/o Dept. of English Language & Literature Eastern Michigan U. Ypsilanti, MI 48104 USA We'd like to collect $5000 eventually, since this is the amount of a 1-year graduate assistantship. So, once again, a most sincere thanks to the people who have supported our initial effort: Supporters (under $50) E. Dean Detrich Lawrence Foley James Harris Maher M. Awad Alan C.
