The Language Center of the Chonnam National University is
looking for instructors of TESL. It has seven instructors, four
of whom are native speakers of English with degrees in TESL. We
would like to employ two or three more fluent speakers of English,
preferably native speakers of English with American English accent.
The requirement is M.A. or Doctoral degree in TESL. We will provide
the instructors with:

 1. Furnished housing on or near campus.
 2. Settlement allowance of US$400 for apartment deposit.
 3. Payment of about US$18,000 for 630 teaching hours a year
and additional payment of $25 for each extra hour.
 4. Health insurance is available for $35 a month.
 5. Assistant professorship and additional monthly payment of
about $125 to those with doctoral degree in TESL.

Each session begins at January, March, May, July, September, and
November. So you have a lot of flexibility in selecting the time
to come here. We are also interested in getting applicants for
internship program. Interns will teaching three hours a day(M-F)
either one or two sessions. We will provide for homestay and
round-trip airfare.
The University is located in a city of about one million
population. Public transportation is so well developed that you
might not want a car. The living cost here is comparatively low.
Note that the room and board per one university student cost no
more than US$200 a month.
If you are interested in coming here either as an instructor
or as an intern, please send us a CURRICULUM VITAE and at least
TWO LETTERS OF RECOMMENDATIONS by either email or airmail.
