I would be grateful to hear from anyone who has any references in the area
of VISUAL AND VERBAL PUNS. My research deals with wordplay in the British
Press and I would also like to hear from anybody working in the same area.

I am writing an article surveying the use of computers in teaching
linguistics. In this regard, I am soliciting information from the
users of Linguist; in particular, I would appreciate knowing about:

 programs in use for teaching linguistic
 programs under development
 programs you would like to have
 relevant literature
 thoughts on how computers can be most useful in teaching linguistics
 thoughts on the most useful types of programs
 any other wisdom, thoughts, or musings on this subject.

I am trying to track down a paper on behalf of a student. The reference
she has given me is:

Janet Holmes, "Hedging your bets and sitting on the fence: some
evidence for hedges as support structures" in *Te Reo*, 27, 1984.

I am unable to locate a journal called Te Reo. Can anyone tell me
where it is published, or whether the paper has appeared anywhere
else? Alternatively, does anyone have Janet Holmes' e-mail address?
