Does anyone know the meaning of the word "Maoli". A colleague of mine
is working on a paper and found this word on page 25 of the book
TRAVELS by W.S. Merwin (1992--Knopf). The title of the poem is
"Search Party".

Thanks in advance.

How does +/- plural marking interact with the mass/count
distinction for nouns?
