Subject: A book

Dear folks,

I am doing some modeling of NL morphological processes. Recently
I found out that there is a book by Christopher Hall titled
"Morphology and Mind". Does anyone know more about the publisher
or the work itself? Please direct your responses directly to:
gouzevgvsun.mcs.clarkson.edu
Thank you in advance.

Gregory Gouzev,
Clarkson University.

A recent summary on LINGUIST referred to a list named FUNKNET. I had
never heard about it, but it appears to be read by a lot of distinguished
colleagues. Anybody care to let me know how to subscribe? Thanks!

Message 4: Query on Recording Equipment - Mini-Disc

From: Celso Alvarez-Caccamo <lxalvarzudc.es>
Subject: Query on Recording Equipment - Mini-Disc

I have some questions about recording equipment for transcription
and analysis of natural conversation.

Does any of you have any experience with the newly developed
SONY (and AIWA) digital Mini-Disc?
I have tried it briefly, and I think its sound is excellent.
But, do you think it will have a future in the market?
Does the immediate-access feature work properly? (that would be
very useful for retrieving previously marked segments quickly).
What about using the Mini-Disc for backup copies of original
tapes? Has anyone tried copying from mini-disc to tape or
viceversa?

Please e-mail your responses. I will summarize if there is
enough interest.

Thanks in advance,
Celso Alvarez-Caccamo
