CRITICAL NEW HOUSING INFORMATION

HOUSING REQUEST DEADLINE: PREFERRED: 5 PM, FRIDAY, JULY 2;
ABSOLUTE DEADLINE: NOON, MONDAY, JULY 6

GENERAL INFORMATION
Because of the popularity of our conference, overbooking,
and miscommunication problems with the OSU housing office,
we have had to make alternative housing for most of our
conference participants. As you may already know if you
have tried to call Columbus yourself, every motel and hotel
in central Ohio has already been booked by a massive (40,000
person) "streetrod" convention taking place in Columbus the
same weekend as our conference, greatly limiting our
options.

Fortunately, we have obtained a large block of rooms at
Capital University about 8-1/2 miles southeast of OSU. The
accommodations do NOT include air-conditioning and are all
double rooms with typical dorm-style shared baths. All
Capital housing includes the option of renting linens
including towels, soap, and pillow, but no fan; you may want
to bring one.

HOTEL: We also have a very limited number (10) of rooms
with one queen or king-sized bed, at one local hotel, for
$58/night. THESE MUST BE BOOKED THROUGH US, NO LATER
THAN JULY 6.

TO OBTAIN FULL INFORMATION ON HOW TO REGISTER FOR HOUSING AT
THIS CONFERENCE, PLEASE CONTACT KATE REMLINGER
(karemlinmtu.edu), and she will e-mail you the full set of
details.

THOSE WHO SUBMITTED OSU HOUSING REQUESTS: Please fill out
this form even if you have already submitted a housing
request to the OSU Housing office, in case the OSU
accommodations don't work out. THOSE FEW WHO GET OSU HOUSING
should receive confirmation notice from OSU during the week
of June 28-July 2. If you or OSU notify us that your OSU
housing is confirmed, we will return your check.

BOOKING DEADLINE: This housing will be booked ONLY through
us at the address/numbers below. WE PREFER THAT ALL HOUSING
ARRANGEMENTS BE IN BY 5 PM, JULY 2, BUT THE ABSOLUTE
DEADLINE FOR RECEIPT OF ALL HOUSING ARRANGEMENTS IS NOON,
JULY 6. Note that that is the July 4 weekend, and no mail
will be delivered on Monday, July 5. However, our e-mail
and fax machines will still receive your applications all
weekend, and we will accept phone calls, if necessary. If
you fax, e-mail, or phone your reservations in, you MUST
also send a hard-copy with your check by regular mail, with
A SELF-ADDRESSED, STAMPED ENVELOPE.
