Subject: Prison slang

I am posting this query for a professor of mine. I'm looking for
references to whatever has been written about prison/underworld/drug culture
slang/argot/jargon since approx. 1950. Any references would be very welcome.
I'll post a summary if there is sufficient interest in one.

Does somebody know of the electronical availability of an overview of the
contents of computational linguistic journals and/or proceedings of
(computational) linguistics conferences (ACL, COLING, ANLP etc.) of the last,
say, ten years?
Thanks in advance,

From: Paul T Kershaw <kershawpstudent.msu.edu>
Subject: Hume date

I have a 1965 reprint of an 1865 reprint of Alexander Hume's 17th Century essay
"Of the Orthographie and Congruitie of the Britan Tongue" (ed. by H. B. Wheatly
of the Early English Text Society) which I would like to cite. Unfortunately,
Wheatley's introduction is vague as to when the original was written ((after
James' coronation in 1617, but beyond that Wheatley meanders). Can anyone out
there give my a more specific date (or, at least, a more solid time frame)?
Thanks for any help,
