Dear Subscribers,

Thank you once again for your contributions to "The EMU LINGUIST
Development Fund." We've received several _very_ generous personal
donations, many notes of good wishes, and contributions from
as far away as Japan. The fund has now reached $1798.00--almost
enough for a 1-semester fellowship. So it seems an appropriate
