Unfortunately, there has been a delay in publication of the article in question
and I am now no longer sure of the addresses of these colleagues (none of whom
seems to be on the copy of the list of linguist subscribers that I own).
 I realize that my offprint is not what they are waiting for, but needs must
and should. So, if anyone knows the addresses for sure perhaps they would send

I need your help!
Could you give me your judgements on the following eight sentences?
In addition, any relevant information regarding superiority phenomena
in Hebrew would be very helpful.

Q1: Can subject NP follow VP-adverb?

(1) ['et ma] 'axal Dani bi-zhirut
 acc what ate D with-care
 'What did Dani eat carefully?'

(2) ['et ma] 'axal [VP bi-zhirut Dani]
 acc what ate with-care D

Q2: If subject NP is a wh-phrase, can it follow VP-adverb?

(3) ['et ma] 'axal mi bi-zhirut
 acc what ate who with-care
 'What did who eat carefully?'

(4) ['et ma] 'axal [VP bi-zhirut mi]
 acc what ate with-care who

Q3: Shlonsky (1987) notes the following contrast:

 (i) 'et ma Dani 'axal? (ii) *'et ma mi 'axal?
 acc what D ate acc what who ate

 Are superiority effects absent (or present) when wh-phrase is
 extracted from the embedded clause?

 (matrix verb precedes matrix subject in (5) and (6))

I am from Zagreb in Croatia. As a senior student in English and French
I came to Trondheim in Norway to write my major in English. I was in
Norway one year in 1989. Therefor I got a scholarship from Culture
Department in Oslo. I shall compare English conjunction AND with
Norwegian conjunction OG and four Croatian equivalents I, PA, TE and
A. I am therefor very interested in all works about this conjunction.
I would like to get as many information as possible about it.
