University of Venice, Italy Academic Year 1993-94 A Diploma in Linguistics and Philosophy of Language The Diploma is intended to offer a range of postgraduate courses in English on grammatical theory (in the principles-and-parameters framework) and/or on the philosophical aspects of language (in the analytic tradition). Attendance of courses in both areas is encouraged. Students are expected to take courses for a minimum of 50 hours in either term (or both) and to prepare a final paper for the end of the academic year.
