 A Diploma in Linguistics and Philosophy of Language

The Diploma is intended to offer a range of postgraduate courses in
English on grammatical theory (in the principles-and-parameters
framework) and/or on the philosophical aspects of language (in the
analytic tradition). Attendance of courses in both areas is
encouraged. Students are expected to take courses for a minimum
of 50 hours in either term (or both) and to prepare a final paper for
the end of the academic year.
To register for the Diploma, an application form with a curriculum
vitae should be sent to the secretary of the Seminario di Linguistica
e Didattica delle Lingue at the adress belo. For further information,

The deadline for registration is November 15 1993. The registration
fee is L.500.000 (approximately US $ 350).

 Programm

The teaching activities will take place on Monday morning,
and all day Tuesday. A research seminar will be held on Monday
afternoon.

Reserved for individual study (and preparation of a paper, to be
sent by the end of October, on a topic chosen with one of the
teachers). We envisage holding a workshop in November for the
