Several students in our undergraduate psychology program are interested in pursuing graduate work in speech and communication disorders. Information on such programs would be appreciated. Thanks, Sam G. If enough interest, I'll post a summary.Mail to author|Respond to list|Read more issues|LINGUIST home page|Top of issue
Does anyone have any information about linguistic corpora which can be logged onto through e-mail, and searched for particular syntactic constructions? I believe this is called a tagged corpus; I am aware that some exist, but would like to know whether they are accessible for searches by people in general. In addition, I would appreciate receiving insights into how useful such corpora might be for exploring speech production phenomena. I am a graduate student seeking information on the language(s) spoken in the Quilombos of Brazil during the seventeenth century. Is there anyone out there who can help me? beverly crusoeMail to author|Respond to list|Read more issues|LINGUIST home page|Top of issuecoral.indstate.edu.
I was wondering if someone could give me references on the following topic which would be accessible to read for a non-linguist.It is about a child who is four, who is a bit late with the acquisition of some phonemes and who has hearing problems. her parents were told that she might have reading problems later on. is it likely? Thanks in advance for your help. marie-cecile pouliquen dublin pouliqueMail to author|Respond to list|Read more issues|LINGUIST home page|Top of issuemacollamh.ucd.ie
