JOB OPPORTUNITY: Permanent Lectureship in French Language and Linguistics, Department of Language and Linguistic Science, University of York. The successful applicant for this post will be strongly committed to French language teaching and will be an active researcher in some area of linguistics (including applied linguistics, sociolinguistics or psycholinguistics). Candidates should have native-like competence in French, experience of recent language-teaching methods, and the capacity to teach the French language from post 'A' level to honours degree level. She or he will be responsible for degree level courses in French language, will be expected to make some contribution in line with their interests to teaching in linguistics or French linguistics and will play an active research role in the department. The department is strongly committed to research and recognizes the implications of that commitment.
