CALL FOR PAPERS -- MODERN GREEK STUDIES CONFERENCE OCTOBER 28 - 30, 1994 [NOTE: The topics covered in this conference include linguistics, so if you meet the eligibility requirements, please consider submitting a paper.] The Modern Greek Studies Program of the Ohio State University will host the Fourth Interdisciplinary Conference of Graduate Students and Recent Ph.D.s next fall (October 28 - 30, 1994). OSU has hosted the previous three such conferences and they have all been quite interesting and successful. Current graduate students or individuals who were awarded their Ph.D. degree no earlier than Winter of 1992 are invited to submit one-page anonymous abstracts for consideration by the Program Committee (include also a card with yourname, title of the paper, address, and current status (student or recent Ph.D.). The scope of the conference is broadly interdisciplinary, as long as the paper deals with some aspect of Byzantine or Modern Greek studies from the perspective of one or more disciplines in the humanities, social sciences, or arts. Abstracts should be sent by MARCH 1, 1994 to Modern Greek Program, Department of Near Eastern, Judaic and Hellenic Languages and Literatures, 256 Cunz Hall, Ohio State University, Columbus, OH 43210 (USA).
