Over the course of the past semester, publishers have sent us several books for review without posting their availability to the list. They are the following: Baker, Francis, and Tognini-Bonelli, eds. Text and Technology: In Honour of John Sinclair. Benjamins 1993 Komatsu and Harris, eds. Saussure's third course of lectures on general linguistics. Pergamon 1993 Gawronska, An MT oriented model of aspect and article semantics. Lund UP Renkema, Discourse Studies. Benjamins. Givon, English Grammar I and II. Benjamins. If you would like to write a 500-word discussion-starting summary of the issues covered in one of these books, contact Barbara Johnstone: bcjMail to author|Respond to list|Read more issues|LINGUIST home page|Top of issuetamuts.tamu.edu. INCLUDE YOUR SNAIL_MAIL ADDRESS. Reviews are due two months after your receipt of the book. Assignments are first- come, first-served. We would like to remind publishers' representatives reading this posting that publishers are asked to post the titles and brief descriptions of books that are available for review at the same time as they send us review copies. This is the only way of guaranteeing that your books are reviewed promptly by people who have some idea in advance of what they are about. We do not have the staff to list each book as it comes in, though we will try to list books you have not listed once or twice a year. Barbara Johnstone Book Review Editor
