I requested information concerning graduate programs that either focused on publishing/editing or combined the study of literature and linguistics. A summary of the responses follows. Thanks to all who responded. Northwestern University, Chicago Supposed to have a good program for people interested in careers in publishing/editing. (Alice Horning <HorningMail to author|Respond to list|Read more issues|LINGUIST home page|Top of issueargo.acs.oakland.edu>) NYU & Howard University Have summer programs in publishing. Tennessee Tech has an extensive technical writing program in which it is possible to secure an M.A. focusing on writing/editing. (Alan Slotkin <ars7950
tntech>) The University of South Carolina It would apparently be quite feasable for someone to come here and mix the study of English literature with linguistics for their doctoral program. (Stanley Dubinsky <dubinsk
univscvm.csd.scarolina.edu>) ? We have a combined Lit/Ling BA and MA. Eugene Shing Chan <eugenes
