I wonder whether anyone out there might be interested in applying
for a new and additional lectureship in english Language and
Linguistics at the Queen's University of Belfast. This additional
post has come about in response to the strong research and teaching
record of the present full-time language staff and we are looking
for someone skilled and qualified in the phonetics and phonology
of English (but especially phonetics) who is willing to research
on and make a substantial contribution to the scholarship on the
phonetics of Irish English. We have a modest computer-based speech
laboratory in the school, and the new lecturer would be encouraged
to develop it.

 RESEACH ENGINEER. Entry level position requiring good knowledge
of 'C', a linguistics background with an emphasis on phonology and
knowledge of at least 2 European languages or Japanese will make you
an ideal candidate to assist in building acoustic models for our
customers. Knowledge of signal processing a plus.

 SWEDISH TECHNICAL SPECIALIST. Native Swedish language skills
with excellent grasp of grammar and usage of language are needed.
Must have strong project coordination skills and be PC proficient.
Linguistics background and programming a plus.

I've heard a number of good things about Dragon (there's even brief
mention of it in Pinker's book). I think it would be wonderful place
