 The Department of English at THE UNIVERSITY OF AUCKLAND, New
Zealand, is presently calling for applications for a

 FULL-TIME PERMANENT TUTORSHIP IN LINGUISTICS.
 (Vacancy Number UAC.457 - Closing Date 31 August 1994)

 The Department offers a number of linguistics courses at both the
undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Although the position will
mainly involve tutoring in Stages I and II (first and second year) of
the B.A. programme, there will be opportunities to participate in
the lecture programme, where appropriate. The successful candidate
will be expected to have at least an M.A. (or equivalent) in
Linguistics.
