I am writing an article describing the so-called additive connectives: furthermore, moreover, besides, what is more, in addition. I've read what appears to be a good cross-section of the relevant literature (discourse theory, composition, rhetoric) and have not come across a single author who treats these words as anything but synonymous. Is lexocraphy of additives truly an untrodden field? If not, does anyone know of any works that I should read before claiming the distinctions I have found between these words as my own discoveries? Dear Linguists, I am working on Grammaticalization of Thai verbs. I found that some articles refered to Lehmann, Christian. 1985. "Grammaticalization : Synchronic variation and diachronic change." Lingua e Stile (20). Unfortunately I don't know where to find the journal which is most likely unavailable in Thailand. Any hint or suggesstion about this article and/or other resources on this topic would be much appreciated. Yours thankfully, g34citMail to author|Respond to list|Read more issues|LINGUIST home page|Top of issuechulkn.chula.ac.th
I'm collecting references to experimental work on the limits of phonetic accuracy in second language acquisition, especially prosodic features. Besides references to publications, I'd welcome information on current research, including contact names and e-mail addresses. Many thanks, Kitt CowlishawMail to author|Respond to list|Read more issues|LINGUIST home page|Top of issue
