The Innovationskolleg 'Formale Modelle kognitiver Komplexitaet'
(Formal models of cognitive complexity) at the University of
Potsdam needs to fill a

half-time position in psycholinguistics.

The Innovationskolleg is one of seven similar institutions
financed by the German National Science Foundation with the
goal of promoting research activities in the Eastern part of
the country. It is linked to the departments of linguistics and
psychology, and it will be financed until July 1997, with the
option for a two-year prolongation thereafter.

Applicants should be able to do experimental work in the
domain of sentence processing, including, e.g., reading time
studies, training studies, etc. There is some possibility for
training on the job, but some basic experience and some
knowledge of statstical methods is necessary.

The monthly salary is approx. DM 1,500, depending on age and
marital status.
