I am sending the following message on behalf of my colleague Gilles Col: For research I am conducting at the University of Poitiers, France, I am looking for a corpus, if that can be found, of: a recorded conversation of two young people (around 20; IQ: 100 and more) affected by muscular dystrophy a recorded conversation of a "mirror couple": two "normal" young people, same age, same IQ, and, if possible, the same social and cultural background. Ideally, I would like them to be recorded while performing the same activity, e.g. trying to use the same application programme (MacDraw, or whatever) but each couple separately. The purpose is to make a linguistic study of their means to refer to future time in English (analyse which markers they use, when, and which speakers.) duchetjlMail to author|Respond to list|Read more issues|LINGUIST home page|Top of issuezeus.univ-poitiers.fr (Duchet Jean-Louis) - ------------------------------------------------------------------------ DUCHET Jean-Louis Tel. : (33) 49.45.32.09 Lettres et Langues Internet : duchetjl

I am preparing an errata sheet for my textbook, "Typology and universals" (CUP). I have corrections for a number of errors (mainly in examples) that I have found or have been pointed out to me. If anyone out there has used the text for a course, or has otherwise noticed typos, errors in examples, etc., please send them to w.croftMail to author|Respond to list|Read more issues|LINGUIST home page|Top of issueman.ac.uk. I've checked a number of different library catalogs, and am unable to find listings for the Chicago Linguistic Society proceedings for 1994 (CLS 30). If anyone has copies of these proceedings, could I have you email me the bibliographic info for the volume itself, as well as the page numbers for my article, which appears in this volume?
