Subject: Qs: impersonal verbs in Old English

Hi all,

I am working on impersonal (subjectless) verbs and constructions in the history
of English (mainly from Old English to Middle English). Do you know any recent
publications on this topic, concerning not just English but also other Indo-
European languages? Please send me the information at the email address below.
I appreciate in advance.

Dear Linguists,

Does anybody have information about the following article

Polanyi, Livia & Paul Hopper. "Reconsidering the foreground/background
distinction".

It has been forthcoming in Jozsef Andor (ed.). Text World, Text
Perspective. Hamburg: Buske.

Yours,

Brita Warvik
