Qualifications and requirements: 1. Is a native speaker of English. 2. (a) Has a Ph. D. or its equivalent preferably in TESOL or Applied Linguistics, but areas such as Linguistics, Communication, and English Literature are also acceptable. OR (b) Has a Master's Degree in one of the above mentioned areas, AND has experience teaching full-time at university level. 3. Has at least 3 published articles. 4. Has a strong commitment to high quality teaching and research. 5. Better if the person can speak, or at least understand, everyday Japanese. Responsibilities: 1. Teaching 5 classes a week (4 English classes plus 1 'First-Year Seminar'). 2. Faculty and Department meetings. 3. Preparation of English tests for the annual Entrance Examination.
