Visiting position in theoretical syntax Where? University of Potsdam, Dept. of Linguistics When? Winter term 1996/1997 (=October 96 - March 97) Minumum: 3 months, of which two must overlap with the interval between October 10 and Feb. 10 Maximum: 6 months, of which two must overlap with the specified interval What do we expect? The visitor should teach two classes in theoretical syntax. Knowledge of German is helpful, but not absolutely required. The visitor's research program should be related to the topics of our "Innovationskolleg Formal Models of Cognitive Complexity", i.e. it should either relate to Minimalist Program Optimality Theory Syntax & Parsing (either computational or psycholinguistic) Formal requirements: "Eligibility for a German professorship" This means PhD + published research not related to the topic of the dissertation, for most Habilitation, if you are from Germany. What do we offer?
