POSTGRADUATE RESEARCH STUDENTSHIP IN LANGUAGE AND COMMUNICATION

Applications are invited for a three-year postgraduate research
studentship in any of the following research areas within the Centre:

1. Attitudes to language and language variation.
2. Intergenerational communication.
3. Lexis / Corpus linguistics.
4. Contrastive phonetics and phonology.
5. Celtic and minority languages.

The Centre provides postgraduate research training during the first
two semesters through the taught modules of its MA/Dip. in Language
and Communication Research.

The studentship is for three years, commencing late September 1996.
It covers fees and pound sterling 5,190 subsistence per annum, and is
open to UK and EU applicants only. For application forms, contact
