The Department of Linguistics and Oriental Languages at San Diego State University announces a tenure-track position for a linguist specializing in applied linguistics, ESL methods, and/or language acquisition. Appointment will be at the assistant professor level, salary in the mid to upper thirties depending on degrees and experience. Minimum qualification is Ph.D. or ABD in Linguistics, publication highly desirable. Candidates with inter-disciplinary teaching and research interests and the ability to work well with students from diverse cultural backgrounds, as well as a commitment to scholarship and teaching excellence, both graduate and undergraduate, are strongly encouraged to apply.
