Michigan State University seeks a Specialist with extensive experience in Computer Assisted Language learning (CALL) and Internet Connectivity. The applicant must have at least a Master's degree, preferably a Ph.D., in Foreign Language(s) or English as a Second Language. Among the responsibilities the individual will have are: 1) designing and maintaining WWW pages; 2) assisting faculty and graduate students in the appropriate use of language learning technology; 3) planning and conducting workshops; 4) developing multimedia teaching materials; 5) teaching CALL courses to language teachers; and 6) conducting original research. Salary commensurate with experience. Two year appointment, starting 8/16/97, with expected renewal. Mount Holyoke College (South Hadley, MA) is seeking a one-semester replacement of instructor(s) to teach intermediate Japanese and/or the third year Japanese for Spring 1997. If the position is filled by one individual, the salary will be $10,000;if filled by two individuals, each would receive $6,000. Candidates should have experience in language instruction at college level. Duties include teaching two 95-minute sessions per week and supervising teaching assistants.
