ACM Digital Libraries is an international conference which is building
a community of individuals from diverse fields to study research and
development in digital libraries. The collection, access and use of
electronic information in a variety of formats requires solutions to
problems ranging from the technical to the social, incorporating
knowledge and experience from many fields. Individuals with an
interest in library and information science, digital information
technology, education, information policy and economics, information
behavior and other fields contributing to digital library development
are invited to participate. ACM DL '97 will immediately precede
ACM SIGIR '97 in Philadelphia. The ACM DL series is sponsored by ACM,

 EMBRY-RIDDLE AERONAUTICAL UNIVERSITY, PRESCOTT, AZ

 EMBRY-RIDDLE AERONAUTICAL UNIVERSITY'S LANGUAGE INSTITUTE AND THE
 HUMANITIES AND SOCIAL SCIENCE DEPARTMENT, WITH THE CENTER FOR
 AEROSPACE SAFETY EDUCATION INVITES ALL INTERESTED PARTIES TO
 PARTICIPATE IN AN AVIATION COMMUNICATIONS CONFERENCE:

 "AVIATION COMMUNICATIONS: A MULTI-CULTURAL FORUM."

 THIS CONFERENCE IS INTENDED TO BE A VEHICLE FOR IDEAS AND
INFORMATION TO BE EXCHANGED CONCERNING ALL ASPECTS OF COMMUNICATIONS
INCLUDING LINGUISTICS, CULTURE AND TECHNOLOGY.

 OPTIMAL COMMUNICATION IS OFTEN PROBLEMATIC BECAUSE OF THE
 HUMAN-MACHINE INTERFACE, GENDER, RACE, CULTURE, AND LANGUAGE.
 PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS CONFERENCE WILL BE AN OUTSTANDING OPPORTUNITY
