The Ninth Annual Student Conference in Linguistics May 2-3 1997 Eastern Michigan University ABSTRACT DEADLINE: JANUARY 15th 1997!!!!! The SCIL 9 Conference Committee is now accepting submissions of abstracts. Our goal is to have as diverse a representation of subfields of linguistics as possible. To this end we will encourage submissions in all areas of theoretical linguistics. Presentations will be limited to 30 minutes including discussion. Please send 10 copies of an anonymous abstract observing the following format: (1) 1 page in length; second page is allowed for data/references only. (2) 12 pt font; 1" x 1" margins.
