 First Annual Meeting of the Gesellschaft fuer Semantik
 19.-21.12.1996
 Tuebingen, Germany


Despite important and very lively semantics research carried out
in the German-speaking countries, there are no regular meetings
held here to document the state of the art. We hope that "Sinn
und Bedeutung" will help remedy this deplorable situation. We
will attempt to provide a platform for the discussion and
exchange of ideas, open to everyone involved in active research
in any subfield of semantics. There will be 30 min talks and an
invited lecture. The invited speaker is Irene Heim (MIT). The
conference will be held in German and English.

In addition, this conference will serve as a first constitutive
meeting of the "Gesellschaft fur Semantik".

REGISTRATION INFORMATION

If you want to come, please register. This will be possible till
December 12th. You simply have to tell us that you want to come
and your name, address and affiliation. Registered participants
will get conference material, including a book of abstracts and
will benefit from our coffee-service. As a registered participant
you may stay at the youth hostel without being member of the YHA
(see below). For all that, we will charge you DM10,-, payable on
arrival. No fees for speakers.

 Les 6 et 7 decembre 1996

Ces troisiemes rencontres, organisees par les etudiants de l'Atelier
des Doctorants de Linguistique, se veulent un lieu de contacts et
d'echanges fructueux entre doctorants et jeunes chercheurs relevant de
differents cadres theoriques et de differents domaines de recherche en
linguistique. Chaque communication sera suivie de 10 min. de
discussion. D'autre part, des ateliers-debats seront organises le
samedi 7 au matin.
