Last month I announced on LINGUIST a web page for Canadian raising (/ay, aw/ --> [vy, vw] / __ voiceless obstruents). Several people who visited the site reported that their web browsers had trouble with the audio files, and so I apologize to anyone who was inconvenienced. I'm pleased to announce that I've since installed on the page much smaller and, I hope, browser-friendlier audio files. The URL remains: http://web.mit.edu/troberts/www/raising.html There are also some new audio files that illustrate other aspects of Canadian English, which I hope you'll enjoy.
