Subject: Simultaneous Interpreting Corpus

I am doing research on simultaneous interpreting and would appreciate
contact with anyone who has experience of working with a database of
simultaneous interpreted material. Immediate questions concern

1 which database system to use
2 how to deal with the problem of simultaneity in laying up the
database (i.e. double-line showing speaker and interpreter, representation
of temporal alignment of the two texts, as well as marking for parallel
phrases within the texts)

Dear fellow Linguists,

Maybe somebody can help me locating this article by Harold Whitehall
"Shadwell and the Lancashire Dialect" published in 'Essays and Studies
in English and Comparative Literature': Vol. X (1933): University of
Michigan Publications in Language and Literature:261- 78.

I have been trying for months to get hold of a copy via the
Interlibrary Loan Section of my university. However, it seems to be
impossible to locate a copy in Britain. I would be really grateful if
anybody could send me some information regarding where I could obtain
a copy.

doing on the use of performatives in women's and men's speech. Did
you write your own or know anyone who did? Please write back to me at
