We are currently in the process of compiling a guide book to southern India and Sri Lanka. for this we need small language sections consisting of everyday phrases such as 'thank you', 'hello' etc. I am looking for someone who could provide phrases in one or more of the following languages. Of course suitable payment would be made. Kannada Konkarni Malayalam Tamil Telugi We definitely need the Tamil section but would be very happy to hear from anyone who could help in the other languages. Thanks in advance, Peter D'Onghia Lonely Planet Publications Melbourne, Australia peteroMail to author|Respond to list|Read more issues|LINGUIST home page|Top of issuelonelyplanet.com.au
Dear all, I am looking for (machine readable or printed) dictionaries which provide _explicit_ information about selectional restrictions of English verbs (e.g. that "drive" selects an object that belongs to the semantic class <vehicle>). Thanks for your help! Hi! Does anyone know how to get by the Sibe-Manchurian recordings made by Jerry Norman in 1965 to 1967 in Taipeh? Are there any other recordings? Thanks in advance! Juergen LenhartMail to author|Respond to list|Read more issues|LINGUIST home page|Top of issue
