The French Department of Montclair State University has a full-time,
entry level position, specialization in Applied Linguistics (second
language acquisition and structure of the language). Teaching
includes all levels of language from Beginning to Advanced French
Stylistics. Native or near native fluency in French required. Must
be willing to participate actively in departmental affairs, including
student advisement, committee work, and curriculum development.

Qualifications: Ph.D. in French and/or applied Linguistics. Demonstrated
excellence in research and scholarship required.

Starting date: September 1, 1998

Screening begins immediately and continues until the position is filled.
