AAIS linguistics sessions provide a friendly forum for the interchange of ideas among linguists representing a variety of interests. Papers treating any Italian linguistic topic are welcome, and selection will neither favor nor disfavor any specific theoretical approach. Presentations may be in Italian or in English. **CALL FOR PAPERS** The Penn Linguistics Club Announces The Twenty-Second Annual Penn Linguistics Colloquium Saturday 28 February and Sunday 1 March 1998 Invited Speaker: HOWARD LASNIK, University of Connecticut We welcome papers on any topic in linguistics and related fields. This year's Colloquium will feature a special session on interfaces between syntax and other subfields of linguistics, including but not limited to semantics, pragmatics, computational linguistics, phonology, psycholinguistics, sociolinguistics, and historical linguistics. Speakers will have twenty minutes for their presentation and five minutes for discussion and questions.
