I am a Bangladeshi national teaching English Language at a University in Dhaka. My Bachelors and Masters are in Linguistics. Linguistics as a discipline is far behind in this part of the world. With this problem in mind we have formed a research organization, namely, Centre for Linguistic Thought, of which, I am the Director. We would like to exchange views with linguists worldwide. If you are interested in such an exchange, please contact me at the following address: salmanMail to author|Respond to list|Read more issues|LINGUIST home page|Top of issuebdonline.com Thanks. A. I am looking for 4 people to share an apartment for the LSA Linguistic Institute (from June 23 to August 2). The apartment overlooks one of the gorges in Ithaca and is about a 10 minute walk from the Linguistics Department (between campus and downtown). The rental for the Institute should be significantly less than the dormitory accomodations, and much more pleasant. Please contact me if you are interested. - Stan Dubinsky ******************************************************************* * Stanley Dubinsky E-mail: dubinskyMail to author|Respond to list|Read more issues|LINGUIST home page|Top of issuesc.edu * * Linguistics Program phone: 803-777-2056 * * U of South Carolina fax: 803-777-9064 * * Columbia, SC 29208 * *******************************************************************
