 I posted a request a couple of weeks ago for suggestions on a
recent sociolinguistics/TESL text. I wish to extend thanks to the
following for their suggestions and comments:

The popular choice for such a text was "Sociolinguistics and Language
Teacing", C.U.P. by S. McKay and N. Hornberger. The most recent
edition is 1996.

The next popular choice was "Sociolinguistics and TESOL", 1989. by N.
Wolfson (the text I used last year). It was still recommended in spite
of the date of the most recent edition - 1989.
