I am looking for references to word frequency dictionaries of English. I also wonder if there are on-line word-frequency lists. Thank you, AlexanderMail to author|Respond to list|Read more issues|LINGUIST home page|Top of issue
I work now on the polysynthetic tendencies in Modern Greek. I want to come in contact with people who have worked on this issue. Could anybody recommend any speech signal analysis software (freeware/shareware), other than SFS 3.10 (UCL) which I have been using so far (BTW, it is quite good). What I need especially is formant frequency estimation and display, and, naturally, the point-and-click kind of communication with the computer :-)), as well as reasonably easy manipulation of sound files (I am going to have VERY many individual files in this research project). Please, include the ftp/http address where the software can be found, if possible. Thank you!
