Integrated in teh activities promoted by the GRIF (Groupe de Reflexion Interdisciplinaire sur le Franais), the Language Department of the University of the Algarve, Faro, Portugal, has promoted a scientific meeting on PLURILINGUALISM AND TEACHING, to be held on the 4th and 5th of June. This meeting aims to foster the debate and the reflection of students, teachers, educators and supervisors on the subject of teaching a foreign language in multilingual and multicultural contexts. Communications to be presented focus on the isuues of foreign language acquisition and development and also on the analysis of factors related to the foreign language learning and teaching process.
