Job Description: Carleton College invites applications for a one-year visiting
appointment at the rank of assistant professor in the small but
enthusiastic Linguistics Department. We seek to hire a specialist in
syntax and/or morphology. The Ph.D. is required by the beginning of
the appointment. The successful candidate will be an excellent
teacher, able to inspire very talented and hard-working
undergraduate students.

Carleton is on a trimester calendar, consisting of three ten-week
terms. We envision that our visitor will teach courses at the
introductory, intermediate, and advanced undergraduate levels. The
department currently has three full-time tenure track faculty, and 21
majors.
