UCL Division of Psychology and Language Sciences Linguistics Lecturer in Linguistics (with a specialism in Phonology) Full Time : The salary range will be £35,707-£38,744 per annum grade 7 or £39,818-£46,972 per annum grade 8, inclusive of London Allowance. The Linguistics Research Department at UCL is looking for a phonologist with a strong commitment to world-class research, especially in the area of sentence-level phonology, e.g. prosody and intonation (and their interfaces). The appointment will be at Lecturer level (equivalent to Assistant Professor). The ideal candidate will have significant postdoctoral experience and a record of high-quality publications commensurate with the stage of their academic career. He or she will contribute to the department’s research, teaching, graduate supervision, and administration. The Linguistics Research Department has recently become part of a new Division of Psychology and Language Sciences at UCL, which offers enhanced opportunities for cross-disciplinary clinical research. The appointment also follows a move to newly refurbished premises where the infrastructure exists for the successful applicant to build up their own research team. The successful candidate will hold a doctorate in linguistics and will be engaged in a programme of original research that enhances the department’s research portfolio and that can give rise to PhD projects and applications for research funding.
