The Program in Linguistics at the University of Georgia has been authorized to make a tenure-track appointment at the Assistant Professor level in phonetics and phonology beginning August 1, 2013. The successful candidate must hold a Ph.D. in Linguistics at the time of appointment and will be expected to maintain a robust research program and to teach courses in phonetics and phonology at all levels. A secondary expertise in another area of linguistics, such as syntax, first or second language acquisition, sociolinguistics, language variation, computational linguistics, or historical linguistics will make the candidate more attractive.
