Job Description: The UCLA Department of Linguistics is conducting a search to fill a temporary lecturer position in General Linguistics and Sociolinguistics for the Spring quarter of 2012-13. The quarter starts on March 27, 2013 and ends on June 14, 2013. The appointee will teach two undergraduate Linguistics courses – (i) Introduction to Language, and (ii) Sociolinguistics.

We will start reviewing the applications as we receive them. The position will remain open until filled. Applicants are requested to send application materials by email. This should include a vita, a cover letter describing experience and interests for both teaching and research, sample papers, and documentation of teaching record (including teaching evaluations). Applicants should also request three letters of recommendation to be sent by email to this address from individuals familiar with their work.
