We are looking for Linguists/Computational Linguists who are native speakers of Malay or Indonesian, for flexible or full-time home-based role. The project is an exciting and challenging opportunity to help develop world-class linguistic software. Role Description: - Using client-developed linguistic software to develop and validate a morphologically structured lexicon of several hundred thousand words, for input into a spell-checker tool - Maintaining and reviewing design documentation in English, using appropriate formatting and technical writing - Reporting and monitoring lexicon/spell-checker errors using proprietary online issue management system Minimum requirements: - Bachelor degree in Linguistics - Native language of Malay or Indonesian - Very high proficiency in English - Excellent technical skills - Linguistic skills should include: grammar, syntax, morphology - Familiarity with linguistic tools, and language technology applications - Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail Additional skills: - Master's degree in Linguistic or Computational Linguistics - Familiarity with scripting languages - Understanding of software development including testing Project duration: 12 months. Start Date: Project expected to start in April. Location: This position is available worldwide (except for Australia).
