LINGUIST List Intern

I'm a linguistics major at Carleton College, a small liberal arts college in Northfield, MN, where I recently finished my third year. I am originally from Rochester, MN, about 40 miles south of there.

I joined LINGUIST List in June of 2012 and will intern here for the summer, primarily working on the LL-MAP project.

My favorite of the three traditional branches of linguistics is phonology. I'm also particularly interested in Spanish and Japanese linguistics as those are the major two non-English languages I know something about; this spring I studied Japanese linguistics at Doshisha University in Kyoto on a Carleton linguistics department program. I'm happy to have the chance to learn more about all these things at LINGUIST List!
