My name is Flora Du and I am an international student originally from China. I started working at LINGUIST List as the Financial Editor in August 2009, while pursing my Masters degree in Accounting at Eastern Michigan University. The fact that Linguist List employs students from diverse backgrounds provides me a great opportunity to share and learn through cooperation on various projects and engagements. I enjoy my work here tremendously because Linguist List is such a friendly, exciting and perfect working environment!

The provision of accurate and timely financial reports and updates about the revenues and expenses of the organization constitutes my tasks at Linguist List. This enables efficient management decisions with regard to the feasibility of Linguist List projects. In essence, my task is to assist Linguist List plan and use its financial resources efficiently, economically and effectively.

I equally generate financial reports on a regular and timely basis to provide required information for both the organization and the university's internal auditing and accounting purposes, and play the role of a financial liaison officer between Linguist List on the one hand, and her supporters/donors, and the payroll unit of the university on the other hand, while at the same time doubling as a receptionist, office supplies procurement officer and travel coordinator.

I feel very privileged and grateful to work at Linguist List because of the excellent opportunity to apply my accounting knowledge, and the experiences and skills I have acquired here have helped me as a person to grow psychologically, socially and professionally.Besides my work at Linguist List and passion for Accounting, I enjoy traveling, reading, watching movies, shopping, and hanging out with friends.
