"Buenos dias", "buenas noches" -- this was the first words in a foreign language I heard in my life, as a three-year old boy growing up in developing post-war Western Germany, where the first gastarbeiters had arrived from Spain. Fascinated by the strange sounds, I tried to get to know some more languages, the only opportunity being TV courses of English and French -- there was no foreign language education for pre-teen school children in Germany yet in those days. Notice: Being an Indian, I'm a Linguistics Post-Graduate (MA) and M.Phil in Applied Linguistics from Hyderabad Central University. Prior to BA Hons. Sanskrit. I am looking for appropriate full time or contract work position, involving teaching or research in any area of Linguistics, Indian Languages (Hindi, Sanskrit, Oriya & English) preferably Sociolinguistics, Translation Studies, General Linguistics, Lexicography, Articulatory Phonetics as well as an Informant to gain experience in a relevant way.
Currently, I do have strong 6 years of secondary level teaching experience in teaching 2nd Language and 5 years of Research experience.
